Winter

A wet winter has at last given way to spring. Daffodils that were bowed down by rain are lifting their heads and the Omega plum tree outside my door is a mass of tiny white flowers which smell of honey. I am watching to see whether the bees are about to help create rich fat plums for me to harvest in February and March.

I feel that I too am emerging from a winter of reviewing the past and incubating new ideas and plans. In the past 12 months I have lost two dear friends and gained a grandson, so the big questions of life and death have been very much on my mind. I hope to use this blog to share some of my thoughts.
